JDR RaceCars is the designer and manufacturer of the JDR F1000 race car, which competes in professional competition in the North American Formula 1000 Championship and in the Formula B class in the Sports Car Club of America amateur competition.

Jerry began his career in motorsports racing in the fabled Can-Am Series of the mid to late 60’s, racing with legends including Mario Andretti, Jim Clark, Parnelli Jones, and many others. Throughout his life Jerry has engineered Can-Am cars, Formula 5000, Formula Atlantic, Formula 2000, Sports 2000, Prototype 1, Prototype 2, Formula Ford, Formula Vee, Karts, and more.
Working out of a 800 sq foot shop in suburban St. Louis, Jerry hand designs and builds race winning cars, including cars and parts for D-Sports Racer, Formula 2000, Prototype 1, Formula Vee, and Formula 1000.
Not limited to race cars, Jerry has designed windmills, land speed record cars, airplanes, and many others.
Jerry’s racing accolades include lists of poles, wins, and championships a mile long, between driving, engineering, and car manufacturing, there has not been a decade in 60 years without a Hodges winning car in motorsports.
